Sehuli was born from an unexpected meeting, guided by timing, place, and a shared devotion to and human connection.
When Nicole and her son Rhame relocated from Canada to Bali, they could not have anticipated how completely their lives would change.
Through mutual friends, they were introduced to Rudi, a surf instructor from Sumatra whose life had long been shaped by the sea. What began as casual surf sessions soon became a rhythm of shared weekends in the water. Over time, friendship deepened into something far greater.
A family formed through laughter, tides, and a mutual love for how the ocean teaches presence.
Nicole, an Intuitive Coach based in Bali, had long felt called to hold space for transformation through retreats. Rudi, a lifelong waterman, had always dreamed of creating a surf camp rooted in authenticity rather than performance. Their visions were different in form but identical in purpose. Both were devoted to helping people return to their natural state of joy, balance, and aliveness.Sehuli emerged as the meeting point of these two worlds. Surf, yoga, and wellness woven into a single immersive experience. A place where the body moves, the mind softens, and the spirit remembers itself.
Today, Sehuli is more than a retreat. It is a living community grounded in connection, sustainability, and soulful living. Every experience is created with the intention to support people as they reconnect with themselves, the ocean, and the deeper rhythm of life.
Nicole
Nicole was born in Vancouver, Canada. She owned a sustainable clothing company with retail stores and a local factory all while being a single mom. Eventually, the stress of life took its toll on her health and she knew that she needed to find another way to live. Working with Dr. Divi, an intuitive coach and MD in Vancouver, Nicole was able to see how her limiting beliefs were creating the life she had and eventually was able to heal them and begin finding joy again. Eventually, Nicole decided to become an Intuitive Coach herself, getting certified through the Mind Body Spirit Medicine School. Now, Nicole helps others to uncover their unconscious thought patterns to heal and create the life they desire through group courses, private sessions, and retreats.
Rudi
Rudi was born in Padang, West Sumatra, and has been surfing since he was a teenager. He moved to Bali in February of 2006 and worked as a surf instructor at a surf school in Kuta. Then in 2014, he began teaching surfing as a freelancer and surf guiding all around Indonesia. He has been guiding in Bali, Lombok, Java, Sumatra, and the Mentawais. Rudi is just as excited to teach someone to surf for the very first time as he is to take a group of advanced surfers on guided tours. The ocean is his life.
